Scholarships
Each spring, SBANT awards several “Dr. George Hurt Scholarships” to persons with SB pursuing post-high school education, both academic and vocational. A committee reviews the applications and decides who will be granted an award, and how much. Awards typically range from $250 to $1,000 a year. Applicants should reside in the North Texas area, and the deadline for applying is April 15th.
We honor Dr. George Hurt in this way because he has been such a good friend to our association. He is now retired, but he treated many patients with SB, and is a noted and respected urologist.
